My first exposure to yoga was through my mom who would practice at home. One year she taught it to my elementary school and I didn't really experience the movements because of my focus on social anxiety. I tried it again in college when a counselor recommended yoga for stress reduction. Yoga videos and classes were the beginning of my conscious journey into the body, mind, and emotions.

Yoga allowed me to experience periods of balance and stability. I chased that experience by taking a variety of yoga classes and learning from many teachers. Yoga lead me to meditation and the Realization Process.

I was drawn to aerial yoga because of the fabric or "silks" that are used. The silks create support, so that you can drop in deeper to poses, and hang in the air comfortably, releasing tension in the muscles and fascia and freeing up space within the body. It is also a fun and free-spirited practice where you can swing and flip and twist in the air if you choose. To learn more about it and begin teaching I took and aerial yoga certification course in 2023.

I especially enjoy slow paced and restorative yoga classes and have been drawn to yin yoga because of the way it releases tightness in the body and creates a deep peaceful feeling. I started a yin yoga certification course this year.
